Ok, so for the past couple of days I've been trying to look around and find as much information as possible about simple (as in no valve springs/retainers) cam set ups for the S14 SR20.

I've come to the conclusion that these three are the best/only choices:

BC Street/Strip Spec Cams:

264/264 duration
12.06/12.06mm lift

Price: Couldn't find a MSRP - can be found online for ~$330.00

BrianCrower.com - Brian Crower - BC - Nissan - S13 & S14/S15 - SR20DE(T)

Tomei Pon Cam:

256/256 duration
11.50/11.50 mm lift

Price: MSRP - $510 - can be found online for ~$435

Camshaft

HKS Step 1:

256/264 duration
10.50/10.00 mm lift

Price: MSRP - $530 a pair - can be found for ~$460 online

HKS USA Camshafts

TODA Racing Cams

They offer an array of choices, I'm going going to list the mild options.

Intake - 256 duration/10.5 mm lift, 264 duration/10.5mm lift
Exhaust - 256 duration/10.5 mm lift, 264 duration/10.5mm lift

Price: MSRP - $440 a set, can be found online for ~$420 a set.

Ok, so obviously there is a pretty significant price jump between the companies. I've got a friend running HKS cams and a friend running BC cams in their red top SRs.

The only thing that puts me off about the BC cams is the specs are identical between the S13 and S14 motors, but Nissan's specs between the two motor's stock cams are quite different - as are Tomei and HKS's set ups. If people have dyno graphs with these cams on a stockish set up I'd love to see them. The dyno graph on BCs website is a car making like 4--whp, Option Imports has a dyno graph from Tomei on their site showing a pretty significant increase, and I couldn't find one for a HKS set up that wasn't modified.

So post up your personal experiences with any of those cam sets in your S14 SR20. Hopefully there are people out there who've only done cams and turned the boost up on a stock/S15 turbo? I can't really find any dyno graphs of anyone with stock injectors or turbo running cams!
