weird sound from KAde

so sunday i drive back up here to norcal from socal 10 hour drive on the 5...anyways when i was close to pleasant valley whenever i would rev my engine would sound like it had a huge vacuum in there like a jet..then my belts would screech. i had to keep it at 65 or it would get worse. i checked my maf, cleaned my filter also. now I'm wondering if it was the constant stop and go on the 5? or is it something a lot worse? I need this car to get me back home next wednesday. I'll try and get a soundclip tomorrow. please help..
