You made a cop car rearend you??

I dont know about in USA but in canada you are automatically at fault if you hit someone from behind, hands down, no excuses, nothing, its YOUR fault..

I was getting pulled over the other day (for going 5 kms over...literally..no ticket)

and the cop MUST have been doing like 120 past me the other way, slams on his brakes HARD whips around and gets on my arse maybe 2 feet away (when i looked in the mirror, all I could see was the windsheild, not even lights or much of the roof) and followed me that close for a good 20 seconds before activating sirens.

so he has piping hot brakes from turning around (stopping from 120 like maybe 15 seconds earlier) so his brakes are HOT and i dont think an impala could outstop my car on a good day...

what would happen if when he hit the sirens so close I slam the brakes and make him rearend me?? (ie say I had been clocked going way more than 5 over)

I ended up asking the cop not to tailgate someone so closely next time..

"officer, as one driver to another, I dont think it makes the roadways very safe to have you tailgating me by 2 feet with hot brakes......and I dont like being tailgated"
