My headlamps update
Remember I was waiting for my Pivot headlight controller in order to be able to open and close my headlights? Well, now that it is installed, it's starting to become real ghetto.
![]() The Pivot headlight unit does not work like anticipated. What I mean by that is that the sleepy eyes function only apply on the closed position of the headlamps. So basically, what I am left with is open or sleepy eye, not closed or sleepy eye. In the sleepy eye position, I could not open my lights without having the popups return to their original open position. ![]() Here is what I did: I opened up the steering column and cut 1 blue wire off the light switch. Now, I can put my low beams whenever I feel like it. I can now open my lights in the sleepy eye mode. I can even get the popups to close when I close the lights while the ignition is on. To flip up the headlamps, I need to activate the headlamp switch twice (1 for open, 1 for sleepy eye). For the high-beams, I still need to find which wire I need to cut. Hopefully, this will be done soon...
