s14 Heres a thought

i dont know if this has been asked before, i have tried to search but found no relavent anwsers. please dont flame me , any help will be fine So here goes.

When wiring the sr20det in a US car, i have read that since the computer normally goes on the left side of the car (japan) and we are here in the USA and trying to put it in the right side of the car , there are a bunch of wires that have to be extended.

Now heres the point, would it be impossible or improbable or just plain pointless to simply put the computer in the left side of the car and put all the wires in the same configuration as it was in JAPAN.

The reason for this would be obviously to not have to cut any wires. i know the in car fuse box resides were the RHD computer would go , but im sure it could be mounted somewhere around that area.

Any responses are appreciated once again im sorry if this has been asked before.
