Last time I bought some meat for the BBQ, there was already tons of it.

So that way we wont bring the same stuff and we have more variety.

Considered it, but folks always have opinions on what should be bought with their money. It works out great if people don't flake on paying and we get enough to please everyone though.

I know for the SoCal Tech Day a few months back that's what they did and plenty of food was bought. I believe it was $10 a head. Plus it gives you a reason to show up if you pay in advance.

Could easily make a list of the things our group wants and see if we can get a little of everything.
