![]() Last night on the way home from the library (I know, I'm a geek) I was rear-ended by a girl. She was crying because she felt so bad, and I felt bad because she was crying - my bumper is completely ruined, didn't break but is bent down and chipped everywhere, my tail light is cracked, and my Greddy exhaust is a lot louder now because the piping was smashed up and broken. Ironically, I was on my way to the Alignement Shop to drop the car off.
My race season is apparently over now. I am so bummed out! ![]() She has insurance. No one was hurt, that's the only good thing to come of this. ![]() In other news, I dynoed the car on Saturday, and was less-than-pleased with the results - I'm running too rich and only making 200.6 hp and 204.5 ft-lbs of torque at 10lbs of boost. I realize there is about 18-20% loss from the crank to the wheels, but am still dissappointed by the numbers. The other two Silvias in my car club went to the dyno with me (after autoX) and they were making about 214 hp at 12lbs. They weren't running as rich as I was either. My airfuel starts at almost 15 at 2.5 (x1000 rpms) and then runs the downward gamut like this: 14 @ 2.8 12.3 @ 3.0 11.4 @ 3.5 11.5 @ 4.0 10.8 @ 4.5 10.5 @ 5.0 10.4 @ 5.5 10.3 @ 6.0 10.1 @ 6.5 I should be operating in the 12s generally, if I'm not mistaken, for a boosted car. Any suggestions? I think I'm going to get a s-afc to start with, and go from there. Try leaning it out a little - hell, I've got all winter to experiment now. ![]() Jenne
