KA Rev Limiter kicking in at 5,000rpm?

I have a stock KA...nothing done to it. I had a starting problem a few days ago and found what looked to be a starter kill under my dash...only thing is it was one SMALL harness only wired into the starter signal wire. I removed it and wired the starter signal wire back together. I also think I was having a problem with the starter relay (blue relay located behind passenger headlight). I pulled it off shook it and kinda banged it around and put it back in and the car fired right up.

Now for some unknown reason my rev limiter is kicking in at just above 5,000rpms. No check engine light, no other symptoms at ALL. Just rev limiter at 5,000rpms.

Any ideas?!
