Front turn signals not flashing

Hello friends,
Today, I attempted this:

I regret it very much, because I did not even intend on using that method, I just wanted to see how it would work.
It did not.

I put my regular chuki dual-function connectors and bulbs back on, and the running light function still works, but they do not flash as turn signals anymore.
Both the hazard and turn signal fuses under the driver side kick panel are fine, plus the rear turn signals work as desired, and I have also tried using another hazard button to see if that would do anything.

This leads me to believe that the turn signal wire for the front of the car is shorted somewhere.
Are there any other fuses or relays I should check before resorting to tracing the wire?
Also, is the turn signal wire the red one with the blue stripe or the green one with the yellow stripe?
