Driver's side window backwards

Hey guys, a wierd one for you.

I had my driver's window motor take a crap, so I bought a used one off ebay. Auction said it was a driver's side motor.
So I got it yesterday, pulled the door apart, removed the glass, motor, and power window framing. Removed the bad motor and bolted the new one up (it did bolt to the framing no problems). Then I proceed to test it and the damn thing is backwards!

The down button makes it go up and the up button makes the window go down. So either my car is slowly transitioning into backwards land or I've got a messed up motor.

Also, I took the door harness wires and reversed them to the motor, and no luck. What gives? Is this a passenger side motor, would it even bolt up to the driver's door? Never had this problem before.

The guy I bought it from is telling me to switch the wires coming from the motor, but I don't think that would matter since I already tried switching the wires coming from the door harness with the same backwards result.

Any help?
