S14 Issues

So I recently picked up an s14. I've come across two issues so far.

1.) Whenever I drive, I hear like a clicking/grinding/hitting sound around where my differential is. I'm assuming its my differential because I had a friend drive it and he told me it was my diff, because while he drove it, I put my hand in the backseat area around where the diff is and I felt it like shaking/moving around. I've been told its fucked, dry, broken, teeth broken, bushing cracked, bolt loose, etc. Not to sure what it is. Has anyone else come across this sort of issue? Let me add that the sound is ONLY there when I'm actually driving, it disappears when it's rolling or being revved.

2.) When I drive it for a bit and part it, the scent of gasoline rolls our pretty fucking hard. So I looked under my car and I saw gasoline dripping. I've read that its usually the hose, but obviously the tank itself can't be taken out of the equation. IF it were the tank, is there a way to seal/weld it shut? Or would I have to completely replace the tank? And how much would it be if I had to? Or how much would it be to replace a hose?

Thanks in advance!
