Reason being is the gas needle in my cluster hangs a bit every 3-4 gallons so after a few days it'll read the correct amount then hang then etc. Also, happen to have a pic of it when you tested? You sure you don't have a fuel level sensor problem? Pull your pump out and ohm the sensor out. Move it up and down slowly, and make sure you it doesn't physically get hung out, then read the ohms and you're moving it from E to F, and make sure the ohms change like they should and don't jump around or anything.
