Instrument cluster not lighting

My mechanic was working on my car the other day and while he was working on the car my cluster stopped working the backlight works jus fine but my overdrive button check engine gas lights etc wont come on at all and the speedometer, rpm and gas gauges aren't moving at all what fuses should I check if not a fuse problem what else besides tcu might it be? Drl don't come on either... I don't feel comfortable driving it without those gauges working
