C's Short Shifter- I need the metal collar/spacer

Hey guys, I need some help. So long story short, A guy in Australia was selling a short shifter for an sr20det. I quickly noticed it was a C's short shifter and jumped on it. With shipping to the states, it was about $40. I got it in today and it is in fact a C's, BUT, it is missing the metal spacer/ collar. My question is if anyone knows where I can find one, or if the one from a generic v1 shifter will work? Being a solid piece of metal, I don't see that affecting its quality, so long as its the same thickness.

Also, the rubber boot is ripped, but I already had a new one. Before I boil it, lube it, and try to force it on over the thick end of the shaft(giggity), does the top section unscrew like the cheap v1's? I can see it's insulated inside with rubber, so I don't want to go trying to force it break the shifter

Here's the collar I am referring to:

Thank you!
