So I got fix-it's for no front plate and no proof of registration (but it is paid and all up to date). Those are easy to fix.

My question is about the 3rd citation which is CVC 27156 B. It states "not equipped with appropriate cap for type of fuel evaporative system installed." However her description next to the code (and what she meant to cite me for) says "modified exhaust and pollution control." I also got the Referee sticker on the back. There is no court date, just a date I have to have all offenses corrected by. So my question is about the descrepancy between the code and the description of what she was citing me for. Is there a way to get the whole ticket thrown out because of it? Can I just play dumb and go to the courthouse/police station and show them my gas cap and be on my merry way?

Please, no opinions, or how you *think it works. I'm just looking for people who have been in a similar situation.

Oh btw, it's a ka, so I don't have to worry about the whole sr thing.
