liquid gasket on maf plate and intake adapter plate?

should i put some liquid gasket between my maf plate and my intakes maf adapter plate?
after installing my new knock sensor my car runs 100x better but still having slight bogging issues.. wondering if these too plates just screwed together isnt make a good seal? my intake didnt come with a gasket of any sort

i had a aem cai on my Si but dont remember if there was a gasket there or not...

any advice?
