s14 PROMLEM! Sputtering when wamred up....

Ok, this is for a friend, he has a 95 S14 SE 5spd. After he drifted the crap out of it it began to sputter when you would give it gas, almost like it had a miss. When you slowly enter throttle it doesnt do it as bad but any throttle level past that sputters BAD. We checkd for vacume leaks and replaced the coolant temp sensor. we checked all the connections and checked all the plugs and wires for arcing, nothing. So after it cooled down and we drove it it ran like normal, until the engine warmed up, then it did it again. The air temp sensor in the air box doesnt seem to effect the motor, runs the same with it plugged in or not, but when unplugged it throws a check engine light. So we unplugged the battery to reset the computer. it still idles great, but once it warms up, put put put with throttle. The only other thing i can think of is a bad MAF but we dont have another S14 to swap over and try. So has anyone ever had this problem and what did you do? i think it is some sort of temp or pressure sensor seeing as it only does it when warmed up.
