clutch slave problem after SR swap

Im posting for a friend of mine that got an SR swapped into his 89. All is okay except for the clutch that was slipping (stock SR clutch) in all gears, not as noticeble in 1st gear.

Clutch was bled multiple times and the master and slave cylinders were replace. I tried adjusting the clutch and gave it plenty of throw so I could make sure that it was completely engaged and the problem was still there. I took a look at the fork and saw that there was a still pressure on it and the slave was fully depressed. I unbolted the slave and went for a ride starting in 2nd and the slipping was gone. As of right now, the rod is grinded down so it works how it is suppose to.

Now my question is, is there different slave cylinders? The one being used was for an 89-95 240sx from Autozone. If the slaves are all the same then maybe something is off with the fork, pressureplate or the throwout. Doesnt seem like its slipping but I wanted to make sure that he doesnt sh!t a clutch if it is still not completely engaging....I didnt want to grind too much off the rod. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
