Battery reloaced to trunk Freshly painted engine bay Actual Silvia trunk lock, ignition key, etc. Dell P3-600Mhz latop to run AEM JDM Folding mirrors Exedy 3 puck clutch and pressure plate Dragon lightweight flywheel GTR style grill I baught the car about a month and a half ago, paid 8g's with the understanding that it needs an oil catchcan and will smoke under load until i do so, asked the shop that they car was it if its safe to drive like that they said yes, but it would be better if the oil catchcan was bypassed, let them bypass it. About 20 miles into my 140 mile trip home i noticed the car sounding more and more like a subaru by the second, clutched it only to have the motor die, fvvck. pulled over, first thing i noticed was oil all over the side of the car, not good. popped the hood and checked the oil to find that it was bone dry, walked the one mile up the highway to get some oil so i could limp the thing somewhere, topped it off and let it cool down, started up and ran fine, turned around and headed back up the highway. made it 10 miles back before it 100% died out, coasted for all it was worth then called a towtruck to bring her back to midwest hybrid. From that point the car received a fresh sr20 redtop out of a silvia front clip, compression/leakdown tested out fine. clip cluster read 68,xxx. They also said one of my nismo sidefeeds was dripping, so i used this as an excuse to upgrade to denso top feeds, a upgraded fuel rail and a nismo fpr. The car ran, but would die out after 5-10 min. Upon further investigation the aem ems install was ghettorigged, wires stretched causing the connectors pins to bend. The shop wired up a new aem ems harness, and got a new connector with straight pins, went to start it up and no deal. They replaced the cas, coilpacks, and ignitor, still no luck, the cars not getting spark. They tried to start it with a stock ecu and it will start then die out right away. anyway, thats about as much info as i have/can give, hopfully that will be enough for someone to guide me in the right direction, sucks having baught a car, driven 30 miles and not seen it for over a month and a half. is it possible that since the car was tuned before with the ghetto rigged harness that the tune could be wrong now that the wiring is right? well im not sure if the wirings right but ya, is it possible? anything else to check/test/replace? ill be awaiting suggestions to tell the shop as they are out of ideas to, if they cant get it running by friday im going to pick it up and try to fix it my self with the help of local shops. anyway, thanks for reading, thanks in advanced for the help.
