Another kei office thread... sorry.

Hi all,
I have searched and searched both here and zilvia. My question is not "who can rebuild these". i know Kei-office has shut down and is now under dg5 or whatever. i wouldnt send things all the way to japan anyways. I can rebuild these myself, im just wondering if anyone else has done this successfully yet on their own. not the rebuild part but aquiring the new seals and what not. maybe not through dg5 but through anywhere else. ive asked around at so-called race shops and motorcycle shops here in my area (st petersburg, fl) and have been told everything from "no one in florida does that kind of stuff" to "you cant rebuild coilovers". so, if anyone has rebuilt a set of kei office xr's by piecing a kit together, could you help me out with some supplier names and/or part numbers. thank you in advance for any helpful info.

oooh, good luck dude. I know here in socal there's a bunch of suspension gurus that'll put any damper in just about any coilover body - my advice is to ask the track junkies (that's how I get all the best connections).

yeah, i called koni today and bilstein, bilstein kindly told me to fuck off. koni was more helpful, saying that if i tear them down and get measurements i could have someone make them or find suitable replacements. the guy definitely didnt sound like he wanted to go through looking all that shit up though. but we'll see. i actually just put the kei's on my car anyway, i dont think the one that i thought was blown really is, i think it was just the wiper seal acting up, seems to be fine now. im stilll looking into this though because being able to rebuild them would be a great thing. keep the ideas coming though. and ill post up if i find any info because i know there are a bunch of other people out there in my position.
