Had the same problem, out of no where one day. I went through the wiring, swapped motors for a test, checked all the switches and still couldn't fix this problem. Finally I just disconnected the motors and left em up... I'll be swapping to a Silvia front end anyway. Good luck, I'm curious to see if anyone has any advice.

Hahaha!! I had this same problem.. When I would turn my headlights on and off they would go back and forth, one up one down.. it was funny.. and they are fixed now..
How I fixed them was I hit the pop-up button, one light was doing what its supposed to do and the other was down.. then I took off that black trim piece, then you can see the arm connected to the motor that pushes the lights up and down.. I simple removed the bolt holding the push rod to the motor and rotated the part where the arm was connected to.. if you want I can snap some pictures and point out what you need to do.. its VERY easy.. now my lights work perfectly now.. |

before you go out and take new lights out at the yard make sure that its not just the connection on the plugs.
EX) take the light that works, and plug it into the plug for the headlight motor that doesnt work. This way you can determine if its the actual headlight motor or the wiring. Beats going to the yard to get a new headlight to later find out its just a relay or wiring issue. |

mostly, it's the relay or fuse, or u have to check the fusible link

I tried something similar by using the motor adjuster on the side that wouldn't come up to realign it with the up'ed one. I use the switch to bring them down, both go down and then when I try to bring them back up, the same one stays down. Maybe you are doing something that I'm just missing. |
