Just curious.
well the stock mani i removed everything .. no egr, no aic valve, and no aac it was a bare stock intake mani.. everything was blocked off and i just adjusted the idle screw on the TB to idle it up....

and for the why not q45 tb? i just havent had the chance to go get one and install it..

That not very technical...

I would have seriously bench tested it and port matched it with the head as well and then checked out the performance or improvement via, brake dyno or just dyno in general.

A lot of ebay parts dont really have this problem (assuming strucutal integrity) because they are exact clones of parts that have already been tested and flowed by other Japanese companies.

Good attempt on DIY fab ...

It is really important that those ports are smooth and allow the air to enter the chamber effortlessly.

I hope you did a lot of smoothing of the inside of the welds etc fromt he plenum to the bottle neck ports.

thanx, yes i had the machinist over weld the area where runners were welded to the wall and smoothed everything down so air would flow Effortlessly

Good frickin show and pleasseee get the dyno part worked out.

I hated on his too.

Then his motor blew up.

Fuck yeah, I rock.

I'd hate on this one too but I don't care, shits on an N/A KA.

nick great job man. good diy setup. after driving ur car it deffantly is more responsive. 4 a person on a budget and a lil bit of welding skill u could pull this off and eliminate a bunch of bs emmisions stuff and add volume to ur intake charge. i know ur situation juist keep up the good work reamember its your car and you do what u want with it. get a header now and get it o the dyno i bet jorjan will let u run a few runs to get a base map layed down. im sure u will pull some more umph out out it cant wait to see u at the event this weekend. i know a person dieing to get seat time.

You can fuck shit up if you don't design a manifold to flow right. I give a shit. I would if it were on my car or a friends car.

DIY is cool when its done right. thats it.
designs aren't expensive.. get a software program that can run simulations based on design parameters.

Its not fuckin' rocket sciene to DO IT RIGHT either.

Then I WANT you to bitch about this. It just seems to much that high post count warrants praise. I want negative count.

its dumb. Its worthless if it doesn't flow better than stock manifold and you can only tell that if you do some testing/simulation on it.

Thats all.

"it feels quicker".. how long did the manifold take? You're fooling yourself! haha
