I just don't get what "idea" they fucked up? They wanted to make a car (RWD, roadster)that competes with the Miata. They did and succeeded wildly on their first attempt. The only thing they fucked up on IMP is the weight. But then like most Domestics, they added a shit ton of power to compensate.

I'm not saying you're opinion sucks or anything like that, but I'm trying to understand your logic.
Mel, I said they look ugly period, from a design perspective . Now if you can't understand that fine. I am looking at it from the aspect of does the body sit to high in relation to the overall size of the car, which it does IMHO. As much as other design aspects of the cars body. As far as I am concerned the car can drive great but if it looks like shit it looks like shit . this thread deserves to die.

You have a right to your opinion, that's fine. I was just asking for more clarification, that's all. I agree with you on the height of the body. I'd prefer a lower beltline and a lower dash like the 240, but because of safety standards and the platforms cars now-a-days are built on, it's a thing of the past.

And honestly this thread should not die. It should keep going. Then hopefully we won't have 10 new threads a week about the "New GTR".

I like debating with you.

Sure we can debate and what not..but in the proper thread. You guys really took this thread off topic, nobody even commented on the spy video haha

Speaking of which...I like those seats in one of the spy pics:

Awe shit, those look nice. Wonder if that's hard plastic like on the stock Evo seats, I had to ditch them because they were right where my girlfriend's head was

I seen the video a day or so before you posted it here. The car sounds sooo sick. Sexual like Randy Watson!

i did some searching who drove the car.

DRIVERS: TOSHIO SUZUKI
Name: Toshio Suzuki
Nationality: Japan
Date of birth: March 10, 1955 - Saitamma
Toshio Suzuki was a successful single seater driver in Japan. He won the 1979 Japanese Formula 3 title and then raced regularly in Japanese F2 and Formula 3000. He finished runner-up in the series to Mauro Martini in 1992 and was a front-runner again in 1993. At the end of that year - at the age of 38 - he found backing to drive the second Larrousse-Lamborghini. He finished 12th in Japan and 14th in Australia.
Suzuki also enjoyed a successful career as a Toyota sportscar driver in national events.

Unfortunately that article hasn't been updated since August. Though that would be a great price, I don't think that article is accurate. Until I see a press release from Nissan, it's all assumption.

Not to mention that the markup on the car is gonna be insane b/c it will be brand new and have a mountain of hype behind it. I'm guessing it'll be around the 70-80K mark.

I'm just gonna ignore it until 2013. Then I might actually be able to afford a used one.

At first I thought it was odd for an AWD to have staggered wheels (the EVO, STi, R32/33/34 all have same on all 4 corners).

Did a little checking: Gallardo is an MR/AWD, comes with 19x8.5 and 19x11 stagger.

I guess it's all in the AWD system's programming.

Yeah I am pretty sure the 996 turbo and 997 turbo run a staggered setup also.

isnt it because the evos and wrxs have symetical awd, while the gtr has a heavy rear bias?

Does anyone want to buy a 600whp S13 in 2008? Cause I'll be looking to sell it for a down payment on one of these.

Yes, the GTR can send most, nearly all of its power to the rear wheels..IIRC the R34 starts out 100% RWD and only sends power up front when needed.

I don't believe the EVOs and STi/WRX can send more than half to the rear, maybe 65%?
