so i have a 89' 240 w/ a ka24e. and after long trips on the highway when coming to a stop the car just shuts off. the first time it happened was tuesday and it hasn't stopped. i do need to do a radiator flush so is that problem. i change spark plugs and wires, used air intake cleaner on throttle body. what else could it be. AAA said possibly alternator. but it starts and i am thinking it may be the fuel injectors. pls help. thank you

is ur check engine light on? check ur whole fuel system...check anything electronic that u may have messed around with maybe it shorts out or something

check engine light is not on. but i will f*** around with it this weekend and keep you posted

Most likely, like me,

I had this exact problem.

after checking my ECU, turns out my CEL was on becouse i have a coolant temp sensor go out,

and it made my car die after driving it, then coming to a stoplight, then it has a hard time i even trying to start back up,

ka24e also.
chk into it,

its an ez fix usualy

just keep eliminating problems,

sometimes even fixing problems before hand.
