i was runnin my sr stock for a while and the car developed a boost leak. the car was lunging and sputtering and sometimes it would die after it saw boost. so what i did is i bought a new turbo and intercooler and a full manifold back exhaust and got it all installed last weekend...now the car is better and pullin pretty hard but everyonce in a while it will sputter and lunge. also when the car is idling if you step on the brake pedel the rpms increase. i am also blowing black smoke out the tail. i assume this is becuase of a boost leak which is making the car run rich....help me.!

what kind of turbo is it.

the turbo is a t28

i would recommend running ngk bcpr7es (#3330) if you're not already, gapped at .028 if you're running 14psi, .030 (which is what they come) if you're running stock boost. also get an safc2 and tune your car. what good are modifications if you can't use them at their potentials?

well you said that there is black smoke that is coming from the back side right?!?!?! well from hearing this i have another question who was the one that installed it???... i think that one of the oil lines on the turbo is leaking since the black smokes means that there oil that is being burned into the O-zone layer so check to see if all the lines are put on correctly....

i installed the motor set and this isnt my first sr 240...i know that black smoke is to much fuel...blue smoke is oil....white smoke is coolant...i talked to my buddy at enjuku and he told me that i will run rich because of the boost leak which is why i am blowin black smoke...i know that the turbo it self is good cause i just bought it and i also put taka turbo lines...so i know i am not burnin oil...also i have new njk iranium plugs cause that is what enjuku recomended for a mildly modded sr...also i have an e-mannage but i just havent hooked it up yet.
