Ok......I had my brakes done last year, and my friend who is a mech. at Firestone told me that he had a hard time cutting the rotors. If you ever looked at your rotors, the rears in particular, they're very thin. He said that cutting them would be kinda risky because you don't want to have too thin a rotor, I guess for risk of cracking. Also, our brakes are notorious for warping very easily and brake sqeaul. Both of which could be the result of them being too thin. So what I did, since I don't have the cash for the 300Z upgrade, I just replaced my stock rotors w/some aftermarket rotors. A few days ago they came in the mail. I'll take a pic of them and post it ASAP, but there Brembo rear rotors, and I believe EBC fronts. They're cross-drilled and slotted, with a nice polished finish. And yes they both match, so you can't tell them apart. They came to $200 plus $30 shipping. A ridiculously good price considering I paid $200 for just the stock rears alone when I first did the brakes. I'm now just waitiing on my pads which I bought from www.pdm-racing.com The pads were $64.50 all the way around. As for the install, I would say it prolly would take about an hour to an hour and a half to complete, so depending on what your local mech. charges per hour, that can mean anything from $50 to $70 per hour.
