C's short shift with tomei duracon shiftknob

what im wondering is if it rattles because people dont put on the top two screws that hold the shifter in place. from what i read, people just leave those two unscrewed because they're lazy to move the transmission axle down. im about to get a b&m shifter. Unless anyone is selling a C's?
