TD05 16g, anyone used this on a sr20det???
hey all , a buddy of mine has a nice clean turbo off of a 05 evo 8, a td05 16g TWIN SCROLL turbo just chillin, and I am thinking bout buying it off him. i have many questions bout it that he cant answer.
first, the turbo rotates the opposite direction under boost, does this matter?? i figured not but who knows. 2nd shit is heavvvvvy, are there any turbo mani's with a tdo5 flange for a sr20.? I though that greddy used alot of mitsubishi turbos so i figure they may have a cast mani for it but i dont know. what kind of flang is it? it looks liek a larger version of the t25 series flange, 4 bolt but has the divider for the gangster twinscroll action. has anyone done this??? I know there will be alot of custom work involved, especially for the DP/elbow action and other things, as well as engine mani. Do you all think a tubular mani can hold this beast? i mean compared to my t25 it is substantially bigger and more heavy but looks so f-ing awesome. any info on this evo 8 turbo owould be greatly appriciated thanks! |

turbo upgrades that arent stock and make less the 350rwhp are junk imo.
if u want a bit more, s15 u want to man up w/ a real turbo get a real turbo. |

u might run into problems w/ the mani wont bolt up to stock it sounds like
either way u gotta make new piping if u want a good turbo w/ power 2871 intl gate 3071 ext gate td06-20 (last choice of above 2) w/ etx gate just seems like if ur going thru all that tune, fab, dyno, etc etc etc get something that u wont want to change in 3 months because some kid w/ a s15 turbo and boosted blew past you get an ext gated turbo, dump pipe and blow flames from under your car YOU LIVE IN FLORIDA how i envy you for that ONE reason (daily driving my track car and shooting huge fire balls all over town) |

hhaha ur going to love to hear ive been runnin open down pipe for 3 weeks too hahah i scare everyone haha cops dont care here either
but i mean like fucking evo8's boost stock at like 18 lbs, so i figured if i had a turbo capeable of that and above 20+ etc i could make decent power, but if a s15 t28 can do the same ill jsur settle for that, lol just figured id try the twin scroll out see what thats like, fyi the turbo is 150. damn s15 t28 is like what 5 bills? ill probably end up t28 though lol, i need a decent daily driver outa it |

depends on how much power you are looking for...if you want a real turbo im selling a t3/t04E 57 trim .63 a/r stage 3wheel and vband exit and an external wastegate...idk what youre trying to spend tho...if ur interested shoot me an email....(shameless plug of the day)

well thanks 4 the offers from yall but lol the only reason i was lookin at this turbo was cause its is for 150 lol, im a broke ass college student thats all i can afford lol
