Hey guys help me out!!

the driveshaft wont go into the tranny.. it goes in about 1cm and then stops and refuses to budge. We think it isn't lined up but cant see why. The transmission and driveshaft are lined up evenly so maybe the teeth just aren't connecting.

For those of you that have SR please help me with the answer and wht you did with your swap i need to know because i gotta return the engine lift tommorow. Thanks

Is you transmission attached to the engine already?  Was it together when you put it in the car?  Just curious.

I didn't have your problem with my swap.  The drive shaft will not go in all the way.  You should be able to see a little bit of the shiny metal, even when it's together properly.  As long as the drive shaft spins evenly, you should be fine.

Did you remember to switch the dust collar with the KA?  You need to re-use the KA dust collar, because the SR one will get in the way.

If all else fails, oil up the male and female sides and try then.

Did you drop the whole driveshaft first or is the other end still attached to the diff? If it is not attached and you have swapped the dust collar then try turning it back and forth quickly while you push it on. If it is still attached to the diff remove it and it will slide right in. The dust collar can be a pain to swap so if you havent done it yet have fun doing it under the car!!! <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>
