Hello all, can anyone give me some good pictures and tech on how to replace my shifter?  I just order a B&M and before it gets here I want to know if I want to install it or have someone do it for me?

I'll see if I can scan in a few pics of my shifter mid-install. For $300 you should get some #### good instructions with that shifter <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'> So, you can do it yourself.

My camera sucks and so does my scanner so excuse the subpar quality but there they are. You can click them to make 'em biger.

For the B&M shifter you have to remove the whole shifter plate.  It is a complete unit unlike the OBX ones.  Those are only a shifter.  
   It is best to have a jack and remove the bolts holding your tranny to the car.  This will aloow you to remove the shifter palte and install the one B&M one.  Thata's it!!!

Are you sure you've got to go through all that just to put the B&M in?

Yep, I have one sitting in my garage I'll take a pic and post it later. The best way to do it is exactly what Grumpy said, but a few people have drilled holes through the floor to get to the last 2 bolts and take the plate out. I wouldnt do it though!! LOL Awsome looking shifter by the way!!!!

Crappy, maybe i'll just have a shop do it... for some reason, I don't feel like unbolting my transmission from the chassis, lol

yeah, i wouldn't wanna mess w/ that n have problems. maybe i'll have a shop do that 2 when i'm ready for one, or work w/ somebody that knows what they're doing.

Yea I guess I will also...unless it get warm in chicago really quick...I guess I will have the guy who is doing my motor swap put this in as he in working on the motor and tranny.  but I would like to see the pictures...

Here are the pics. I will be putting it in tomarrow. I installed my KAAZ LSD today! There are very good instructions with the B&M by the way!

Anyone here with an 89-90 and a b&m? I can't see any reason why it wouldnt' work, but every site says 91-98 240sx's...

Mine is a 89 of course it has a SR in it but it should work just fine on a KA'd 89/90
