After driving for the first time in a helmet today, I have completely revised my take on this matter!! Even at my not-so-tall height of 5'7", my helmet was about an inch to 2 inches (max) from the ceiling! I normally have NO issue WHATSOEVER with the roof, but helmets change a *lot*. I had no idea they added that much padding!
Anyway I guess this little track experience has 'opened' my eyes to the world of little details (such as sliders) that make such a big difference in your own car, and why so many people have such different personal preferences. I guess I'll be going with the Bride sliders, too. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/inlove.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='

Now, on to where I can get ahold of these...... and no, I'm not ready to shell out four hundred fucking dollars for Jspecs pair!! Dousan, where'd you get yours? And can anyone else recommend a shop for Bride sliders?
edit: sykikchimp- that's a good idea. (custom mount, that is) ... but how much do these usually run (for materials and labor), and what's safety like when it's a one-off, custom install/make?
