well not sure what button it is for xbox but for PS3, L1 is HML punch and L2 is HML kick.

and for ryu's ultra, do the hadouken thing on the Dpad twice and hit L1(if you are on PS3)

the triple punch is set to the LT on the 360 controller, just go to controller layout, I know it's not legit as pressing all at once, but it's there, use it.
question
If you use the triple punch button on say a shoryuken or hadouken, Ryu lights up and can break through blocks? Is that right? Cause, that's the shit Seth does all the time. I tried it and I think that is how I did it.

Soo uhh in the training challenge on trial 3. You have to do lets say a medium punch then lets say a hadoken. It wont let me do it fast enough to make the combo work? Is there a trick to this? haha

you gotta be QUICK, you have to complete the hadoken movement as the MP is connecting

wait till you learn how to cross with a jump MK, crouch MK, stand HP, hadoken into ultra. you will be amazed at how complex this game can get.

so im slowly learning FADC is the new parry system, although it seems to only be worth one hit. how I will miss the full parry of a super

Well thats what ive been doing with most of the characters but with chun-li its hard because her jump kicks suck when it comes to it and her ultra move is hard to do

you cant be fully offensive with Seth, you have to wait till he makes a move then hope you can string a combo off of him. learn to poke at him with certain kicks and whatnot.

If your playing Ken, try the Trial stage, on Hard.
There is no way you can do without a joystick.

Also I have been practicing the FA(Focus Attacks), and I can do a FA and the cancel, but I dont see the point in it, as it drains your life bar.

they need to do a HD remix of SvC2.....oooof

so I got paired up with a japanese guy this morning. about 15 matches worth and I could only manage 6 (2 gouki, 4 ken) wins against him. the level of play is insane for how short the game has been on consoles.

very humble guy, spoke very little english but I could manage some very simple japanese with him, got him on my friends list and hope to catch him online again soon.

Ive been working on my fierce shoryuken FADC into Shinryuken, seems to be working out alot since thats the only way his ultra will hit against a human opponent. Also found that your super will cancel a hadoken like in 3S YAY!!!!!!!!!! If you can chain that off of a cross up combo its worth a nice chunk of life bar. Kens kara throw is something you have to know how to do

I also think Gouki is gonna get nerfed with an update soon. The damage he is capable of is almost unfair

i would say xbox cus you would always get different controllers. but the online community for ps3 is always gona be lacking.

If you are not planning to get a joystick, then get the PS3 version. The 360 controller is USELESS.

I played my first Tourney at the EB Games in West Co the other day.

Killed the first guy, died the second.\

I couldn't play using my control setup (360) and i Suck MAD nuts on joystick.

My buddy won the locals, and we just headed back to play at his place.

Ryu's priorities are alot better than before. I'm actually enjoying playing with him again.

Forward Strong and Forward Fierce are amazing "chains."

Cheap chains, but chains none the less.

combo like guile's low punch/sonic kick then follow it up with low sonic boom then follow fierce punch.
stuff like that.

i haven't played sf4, yet. decided to wait to get killzone2 instead.

I unlocked everyone couple days after I got the game on release day. Game wasnt that hard Imo. I played cheap as FUCK to get all the characters. SWEEP KICKS+FOCUS ATTACK FTW. Works with any character.

Jump up, he does his Shoryuken that takes 25% of your life. You turtle him, he Fuerte Atomic bombs your ass. FUCK.

HUGE fucking tip that i used to beat his cheap ass, turtle close. After he throws out the Dhalsim arms, trip is punk ass. Repeat. If you can, Ultra his ass.

i think the best character ive found to beat him with easies is Sagat. Dude is his size and throws fast tiger assaults.

How do you unlock gouken??? thats the only character i need.. well seth too but like everyone.. i hate his lame ass

You have to unlock every other character besides seth and beat the game with akuma to unlock his video and then beat the game with 2 perfects and 3 or more ultras and you will be able to fight gouken. Beat him and you unlock him. You cant die at all either.

When I beat Seth as Ryu I would wait for the Dhalsim arms then jump in with a fierce kick, then a low fierce sweep thing. Still took me like 10 tries, but I'm terrible with Ryu. I was just trying to unlock Sakura on a friend's game
