I'm back with an update.  After resetting the computer, the light came back on immediately (Note:  the code was EGRC-BPT Valve 36 EC-137)

And now for some strange reason the light went out and does not come back on.

So, two questions:

What is the EGRC-BPT valve?  Is this the exhause gas recirculation valve?  If yes, what is BPT?

Next question:  Has this happened to anyone else?
