it's been done, but it's only going to be a straight line monster. You'll lose all your handling due to the weight ratio. Right now your 240 is either 52-48 or 51-49, I can't remember which. But you want to keep that ratio. That's yet another reason why the SR swap is done so frequently, it brings it to about 50-50.

Well ####, if you want to do it, SURE IT'S POSSIBLE!!!  Just take out your backseat and mount the engine there.  Then adapt a transaxle assembly from say, a Toronado to go for you rear end.

Why do all that work when you can just put in a sr20det and get the same results after tuning it

I say if you are going to throw the weight of, jam in the Vipers 488, brand new with the tranny and everything is 11,995, and you would have the fastest sil on the block... anywhere... only straight though, you might need 250 pounds in back... it would be a fun dragster though.

yeah, and besides, if you DID get the 300zx swap, you'd have to change your name to NismoVG30DETT <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>
