This applys for drifting and circuit, def not for drag.
Main reason why you should consider doing 4.3 or 4.6 swap is your turbo and powerband. I would also consider you skill level as well, and the speeds at the track you goto. For the guys with bigger turbo making 350+ hp, 4.3 will keep your revs in the sweet spot when you shift between 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear. Your 1st gear will be useless with 4.3 and 4.6. For the guys drifting in 3rd and 4th gear will notice a big difference. If you have a t28, gt-ss, anything making less than 320hp, keep your stock final gear. You won't benefit from it. |
