brake question...please help >.<"

i have a problem with my stock s14 rear calipers...a few nights ago i had to hard brake cause an a$$ hole in front of me...and i knew my brake pads and rotors are pretty beat...so any ways after that hard brake my rear brake started making like metal to metal grinding sounds...at first i thought i jus needed to pads and rotors but it would still sound like its grinding even with my foot off the brakes...could it be a seized caliper?....and if so can i buy a kit like this to rebuild http://www.autozone.com/R,APP1128425...ductDetail.htm am i screwed?

first things first. take your rear wheels off and LOOK at the brakes. from what you stated it sounds like you're metal on metal. or maybe you're just hitting the wear indicator. maybe you should check them out before posting. just a thought.

+1

you are probably down to the wear indicator

but um, take off the wheel and look first. we can't check your car out for you over the internet

Seconding the (preliminary) diagnosis of worn pads.

Identify which corner is problematic.
Remove the wheel.
Inspect the brakes carefully.
Take pics to show us.
