Interesting how the new STi is slower than the outgoing model by quite a margin. It doesn't deviate too much from its predecessor, and all the changes hypothetically seem to be advantageous (more power, less weight, rear multilink, etc). In that sense, I totally disagree the STi's new suspension design proved its worth. It hasn't proved anything so far. It's not fair to claim that the new STi is better simply b/c of one test like this, but it should be interesting to compare further with other tests in the future. So far, I see no evidence the new STi is meaningfully better in performance than the outgoing model. |

truth. except for the growing on me part. im not fan of wagons at all, too family oriented "lets go on a picnic" looking for me to say "damn!" when one drives buy. and the new sedan model reminds me of a camry or something...i think they kinda slipped on this one. maybe a crazy widebody and nice rims on the sedan will change my mind....

The 08 STi 'build your own' feature is up in the NA Subaru website;
http://www.subaru.com/shop/configura...ZAWRX&trim=STI also wonder if this is worthwhile to save a bit more off an STi http://www.imba.com/tcc/subaru.html |

I'll just take a G35x w/ Nav for $40k.
