s14 Advice on a crash?

I recently got into an accident in my S14 a little fender bender and my stupid air bags went off. I fixed the exterior body not the only thing that I want to know. Is there a way to cut out the censor for the air bags and so how? I am planing to but a racing steering wheel on, but I do not want the air bag light is still on.

hey..it beats putting a piece of black tape over the light...

works bell hubs are super nice, but when repairing some damage...you may not have the cash to drop on one..

buy a steering wheel form someone who bought a tyte JDM one, Do that yourself, or there should be a way to connect the wires so it thinks its still there.

basically its just 2 wires looking to complete a circuit. if you find the 2 wires and connect them, the light should go out. if you need wiring diagrams pm me and i'll try to email you one.

Disconnect negative battery terminal.
Wait 3mins.
Take T50 tamper proof bit and remove airbags.
Replace air bags with new ones.
Connect battery.
Turn ignition to on for 1sec then off then back on and code should clear.

this will not work infact you could blow something else trying to do this..
the airbags them self have a specific resistance. once the resistance is changed the airbag blows.
all you need to do is make a jumper with the right resistance and the light will go out..
