Awesome updates Newman.
POR15 is awesome I use it a lot and it really does work. It's worth the money. I can see you had a lot of fun painting with it! |

how tight is the radiator?
IC would look sweet if it matched the angle of your valence

idk. it's boring and outdated and mostly stock and my roommate thinks it's the best car ever made. i hate when people are way into their own cars. especially when they're stock.

holly fucking shit, I thought I was the only one that thought that way. I have a friend who seems to think his xterra is the end-all of all trucks. And that g35's are the sickest cars. It just pisses me off that he praises stock cars so much. Maybe its a 240 guy mentality. I don't think any vehicle that I'll ever own will stay stock.

i posted it on a bimmer forum. People were NOT PLEASED.
the bumper i have is really rare in the states, it has to be imported from Europe. What makes it more rare is that it was uncut (fog lights and center cooling holes). ![]() I really wish i had splurged on an M3 shell to cut up. That would have REALLY gotten the hate. ![]()

yeah i can imagine the guys on rev or something would not be pleased with chopping the m-tech kit. oh well, its a unique project. its like a friend of mine who put a LS1 in a E30 M3. He put it up on one of the bimmer forums and everyone acted like he peed in their cheerios.

I dig the bumper chop (it was the only thing you could do), but hate those flares - they look way to 'bubbly' to me. Maybe they'll look better on a car that doesn't have that same kit.

My buddy came over last night and helped me start installing the flares. Needless to say, they don't fit very well out of the box. About 90% of the way through the install i discovered that these are made from a thermoplastic material, not thermoset. (Urethane is a thermoset meaning it cannot be liquified and still retain it's original properties) That said, the flares are ABS and are very easily molded with heat. Had i figured this early on, I may have approached this a bit differently. There is a slight kink that i need to massage out, but i think it's going to look pretty rad.
I am going to paint them satin black. I want them to retain that "i don't give a fuck what i have to do to put wider tires on look" oh, and PS, the fuel door is actually being welded/glassed in, as the fuel cell is in the trunk. PPS: The screws used are only temporary. I will ultimately use a button head cap screw, but i need to get the correct nutserts ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

oh man i can't wait to see this finished. it's like a japanese/german spawn child!
and tell those pussies on the bimmer forum to shut up about you hacking that front bumper. it rocks!. it reminds me of old old old school skylines that had the big ass oil coolers up front.

most excellent newman, I like the flares, always been a fan of bolt-it-on-and-run setups! so how wide a wheel/tire can you fit on the e30 now that you have those flares?
lol @ cutting up that uber rare unmolested bumper, doh! damn that radiator is stuffed in there, looks damn good. sweet update too, I cannot wait for winter to be OVER.
