Interior Work

I decided I was gonna start painting and fixing up the interior of my car since im not quite sure what I wanna do to the outside yet. First the dash is cracked about a foot long, fixable? And I know I should probable search for something like this but its late and I wanna sleep lol but how do I go about painting the pieces just vynal paint? I think im gonna do a black and white but open for suggestions but I believe the outside of my car will be white with a black carbon fiber hood on a silvia front end conversion. I drive an 89 fastback. Thanks for the input guys gonna start this as soon as possible. Oh one more thing most of the stuff is faded (buttons, shift boot, steering wheel etc.) how can I restore theses? or do I have to get new ones from nissan?

why do you want NEW NEW NEW?
go to a junkyard
watch for people parting out w/ cars on the classifieds.
dont go to nissan always for OEM parts. there are MANY sources, just takes a lot of work and energy but saves you a lot of money
junkyard are your best friend.

Wow I like... did you have to sand anything to paint it or just paint it? I like the seats too very nice mine are all ripped up so I was looking at getting some new ones. BTW why didnt you pull the carpet off the glove box like you did the doors?

I didnt have to sand anything. The tweed on the doors just pulls off. The carpet dye can be had at almost any industrial store (probably even homedepot/Lowe's). The glove box is trickier than the doors. I havent messed with it yet. Here is a pic of what another 240sx enthuiast did do his: Just pulled off the tweed and covered it with vinyl.
