As for the way some of the politicians go about addressing it, yeah they get lost in their own speeches. But it's a problem nonetheless. Really I don't see the whole air pollution problem getting corrected until we are FORCED to stop using fossil fuels, period. There are so many other alternative fuels out there that we could be using, but it won't happen as long as the oil companies hold the world's political strings. I for one am getting an alternate fuel vehicle for my next new family car. With gas at 3.75/gal and rising, it's time to say "F" you to the oil companies. Plus you get a tax break! I'll prolly own a 240 for as long as they're drivable, but I can definitely see gas powered cars becoming obsolete before I turn 60.
