Speaker...Not the normal question, I searched!
I searched for this topic and did not came up with any results that would answer my question. I've been on this forum for a half a year and I have not seen anyone post about this. So now, my question is (this is for a 91 Fastback), I am installing a 6 1/2 component set for my front speakers. When I took off the mounting bracket for the speakers; I saw this circuit board with all this **** on it. What the heII does it do? I was thinking about cutting the green, red, black, brown, and blue wires off and seeing if i could run it strait, but I didn't wanna skrew anything up cause I have never encountered anything like this on the back of a speaker mount. Should I save it and just mount in on the back of my peice of wood I am using to mount the new speakers?
Also, I was thinking about flush mounting my tweater on the top of the door panel right behind the side mirror panel. But I noticed it doesn't have enough clearance to do this. I don't want to make a hole directly in my door panel. SO, how would it sound if I mounted the tweater right beside the mid-range speaker, on the piece of wood? |

I was doing a search and I saw "speaker circuit" as one of the recent searches
![]() It's actually the amp. Each speaker has it's own built in amp, which really sucks. There was a post about it like 3 days ago that tell you all you need. Try searching for "speaker amp" Jeff

Like Natty said, those are the stock amp for the front speakers. The amp for the rear speakers are located some where near the rear driver side speaker.
Also you shoould check the "Archive's and FAQ's" section, it tells you how to bypass the stock amp. |
