s14 Alignment Issue (real Quick)

I'm getting an alignment tomorrow. I also have the Eibach Correction kit. Do I really have to get that installed too? Its only a 1 inch drop. What do you guys think? Reason I'm asking is because the alignment place is charging me $50.00 for the alignment, but if I get those Eibach Camber Correction bolts installed, its gona be an extra $80.00 for labor. Is it really that much more to get those in? If my car is only lowered 1 inch (give or take a hair) is it really necessary>?

i seriousloy doubt it. a good alignement shop can get rid of almost all

REMEMBER
a tad of camber WONT kill your tires faster!!!!! its the toe and caster that hurts tires.

edit: and why dont you install it yourself? suspension work is EASY.

probaly not needed. they can tell if the car is out of specs before they put them in. otherwise put them in your self and drive down to the shop and have them set your alingment. the frot camber kit for strut cars is just some ecentric bolts and they have been known to turn under hard loads.

No with just a 1" drop they should be able to get it pretty close to factory spec. You should not notice any excessive inside treadwear or anything.

O and if you do decide to put on the eibach bolts, don't let someone take $80 from you for it. It is a simple procedure that includes jacking the car, removing wheel, unbolting existing strut bolt, and replacing with eibach bolt. If you can change a tire then you can do this no sweat.

one more thing, if i get the alignment, then decide to put the eibach kit on, that will mess up the alignment right?

average price
our cars dont pick up alot of camber on the front as the suspention moves up and down(lowered) when the wheels are straight any way but when they turn (high caster ) the out side wheel will gain a lot of camber. i personaly would skip the ecentric bolts but thats my $.02

Skip the eccentric bolts, they are not neccessary for your car. Plus if you are going to use anything, get the adjustable pillowball mounts (they are more expensive, but they are the better way of adjusting camber up front).

My car has been lowered on Eibach Pro-kit's. My rear tires were sitting right at the minimum edge of the range and actually a little out on my right rear. I had/have a -1.5 to -1.7 rear camber and my tires still wore perfectly fine. Make sure you have your toe settings set (toe is the real killer of street cars). I actually just put on new tires and the only part of the tire that was excessively worn was the center section (which is to be expected since I kept my PSI around 38-40 in my old Kumho's). But I drove on those for at least half a year or more with my car like that and no excessive inside edge wear on the tires front or rear.
