Story about some rice basher who got bashed, please read

I just read the "Rice Basher" post, and it got me mad. I was into cars back when celica supras were cool, not everyone is a ricer, and the stuff about jap crap, and praising the american car, he sounds like a racist to me. some people are idiots. -Any ways, my roomate, who use to own a DX 93 del sol had contact with one of those "biker" guys. You guys know what I'm talking about, the guys who ride on Harleys and try to look like a Hells Angel. Well, he was coming down I-5 towards modesto, and this biker almost hits him. Its fortunate for the biker that he didn't hit my friend. But he starts yelling at my friend about stupid imports, and how he's a moron. He starts mouthing off talking about how stupid they are, and how they shouldn't be allowed on the road, etc, etc. Believe me, you would be mad if I told you everything he said. (The biker guy was a big white redneck, from what my roomate described) (Oh, and his del sol had a carbon hood, as well as being lowered way to low) So my friend gets mad, and rolls his window all the way down to yell back. Well the guy spits in his face! My friend gets mad and veers over to the guy to scare him. The guy veers away, and then slows down, and gets behind my friend. He starts pounding on my friends car. Hes pounding on his rear fender and trunk, so my friend speeds up. They were close to modesto already, and they eventually chase each other to the end of highway 132 where it comes right into Modesto. They end up stopping at the light. The guy gets right beside him, and starts banging at his window, trying to break his glass. He had his girlfriend with him at the time too, so you can imagine his fear and anger. So he backs up his car to keep the biker guy from breaking his glass, and to run his ass over. The biker guy turnde back to look and he gets off his bike. My friend floors it and runs right into the guy, (he said he was trying to break the guys legs) but his car was so low, the guy falls on top of his carbon hood, cracking it and shattering his windshield. The guy rolled off and my friend backs up and rams the guys nice Harley, then took off. He said the people at the stop light just looked at them in horror. The big biker guy was on the ground still trying to get up, when he looked in his rear view. I saw his car after that, and it was not a pretty sight. He has a S13 fastback with an SR20 now, so it doesn't matter. But just becareful, because there are crazy import guys as well. i wonder where that camaro freak lives, because I don't imagine he would pull something like that in California.

I'm sorry, I'm not very "in touch" tonight, but say what you will, and think what you like. The guy got what he deserved, and my friend did get a police report on it for insurance purposes. His girlfriend was the witness, it was "self defense".

It's not self-defense. It's call vehicular homocide if you do it right. Frankly, your friend deserves to get the crap beat out of him if he can't outrun a slow-ass harley.

secondly it wouldnt be attempted murder, or vehicular homicide..t he guy isnt dead, and his intentions werent death. no court in the world woudl come to con. that his intentions for the guy were death. it was inself defence, but with out proper representaion, the kid with the del slow could possible get vehicular endagerment and assault and battery, with no intent to harm.

btw any one who lest their road rage get that bad is horrible.
if it comes down to it, dont use a vehicle or weapon. either do it the right way and get out of the car and beat his ass, or do it the puss way and follow him no matter what and bring friends.

You're kidding right? Do you know how hard it is for a bike to keep up with a well-driven car on public roads? And we're talking sportbikes here. Harleys are rolling pieces of art. That's about it.

Trust me. You TRY to hit anyone with a car, regardless of your intent, any lawyer worth a damn will have you locked up. Kid got lucky that he didn't kill the guy is my point.

Why not just ignore the drunk bastard and get on with the rest of your life. Like I said, it's not hard to lose a drunk, fat man on a harley.

I could actually feel the guy in the del sol. I would have just speed off and out corner him ;0...... I don't try to have too many confertations but I do when I'm mad....

I could see myself running his fat ass over..... I wouldn't care. I will be like he tried to kill me....

If I were to be convicted so be it...

nightwalker--Your "friend" was an idiot talking back to the guy. Mature adults would have just driven off and not taken a chance on damaging their car or endangering someone's life. This was not self-defense, it was stupidity. And I'm embarassed that he now supposedly has an S13 w/ SR.

BTW--anybody with motorcycle experience--what do you think would happen if you were riding your MC down the road and started ramming into another car, and then started hitting the car with your hands? Wouldn't the bike be unbelievably hard to control, and the use of your hands would throw your balance off a bit, making it even more difficult to control your bike? Just wondering because this story's starting to smell like a litter-box. I could be wrong, but I have a bit of biking experience myself (crotchrocket, though) and I know how important stability and balance is when you're on one.

There is no such thing as a 93 DX del Sol. They only came in S and Si models that year, afterwards the VTEC model was introduced.

mixedwel: I agree, running people over is not cool. Should have had the cops handle it or just take off and ignore him I guess.

96SEChick: The faster you go the easier it is for the bike to balance itself due to inertia.

Before the lock down!

but when you hit another car from behind you have to hit it with your front wheel don't you. So if he hit it as hard as the story seems to tell us he would most like turn his wheel and start slipping up, but bigger bikes are probably more stable than small bikes.

Anyways, the guy on the bike and your friend or both idiots.

The guy on the bike could have died, and saying he was making fun of my car is not going to get you off the hook, you should have just moved away, or get off at the next exit and duke it out in some alley or something.
