i need help removing my ac has anyone ever done this before. can i just take it all out and not plug up holes or what do i do. help please <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':crazy:'>

i've already had it discharged so can i just take the rest of it out. please help i have to get this out before my motor is hear on wed.

Well, it really isnt that hard to remove most of it. Just unbolt the components. The compressor, condensor, and the other components in the hood should be pretty self explanatory. If you have trouble w/ any particular part, just post it.
Might have trouble with the evaporator unit inside the cabin, since if you just pulled it out the air from the blower would just vent out to the passengers foot. Id just leave that in there. Not gonna get in the way of anything anyways. |

is there anyway to discharge an a/c at home.. DIY? my car doesn't run and its all stripped w/o a front end.. is that a/c refrigerant stuff toxic?

easiest way is to take out the dash, and then just remove everything underneath it. thats what i did. its like a tin can all hallowed out. woudnt have it any other way

im actually trying to remove the a/c system in the engine bay.. all the a/c lines are still connected to the engine. is there a way to discharge the a/c by yourself w/o bringing it to a shop?
