No prob, this is what message boards were made for, not talking about which JDM body kit is mad tyte.

Just like most projects this one may not be as easy as it seems. Miatas have the luxury of having thier headlights realitively flat. This makes it easy to just attach a sheet of plexi glas or plastic or whatever that is shaped to fit. However, the front of MY 240 has a fairly sharp curve right at the bottom of the headlight.

The easiest solution would be to make a piece of wood that just fits under your headlight cover, then take a piece of plastic, heat it and bend it over the mold.

If you have ever looked at glass or clear plastic that has a curve to it, it kinda distorts the image you see behind it. Now this curved section is directly in front of you lights, it may or may not distort of diffuse your lights.

Just a thought, good luck with your project

Well I emailed [email protected] but the email got bounced back by the mail daemon

As for getting the acrylic shaped the best idea I've come up with so far is to find a shop that can shape the acrylic based on templates. I can use some parted out headlight covers as templates to turn over to them; however, if I can't get a better idea of how to affix the acrylic then its all moot.

It's just a matter of time before I find something that works though

Hey just so you guys know that there are other alternatives to getting pright, well patterned light, I got some gl*** H4 conversion kits and some 90/100 watt golden bulbs from japan and my headlights have been improved like 10000 times over stock sealed beam. the conversions were 35 shipped, the bulbs were 35 shipped, so for 70 bucks I have much improved lights.

its not as cool as those ones though, but I like it all the same.

Or if you want to get really nutty, you get some Xenarcs.

That is some yummy lighting, if not quite as yummy as the clearcorners low-profile HID setup... but it's also "only" $430.
