Try turning the ignition switch off FAST, sometimes mine would do that if i would turn the ignition switch off slowly.

This has nothing to do with his problem UNLESS the ignition switch is defective.

As soon as you turn the key halfway between ON and ACC enough to disconnect the ignition pin from power, the turbo timer should intervene.
