You see, when the motors were being assembled at the factory, the torque specs for the head had been set too low. Hence, they didn't seal properly, and the head gasket would blow. Once you replace it and torque it down properly, blowing the head gasket is no longer an issue.

Shit, apparently it is! All I've ever heard was that they're heavy, didn't flow very well, and as soon as you up the boost, they blow headgaskets. Interesting stuff.
