What you have to do is adjust it according to how its being run. First you have to take all the fittings off and put Teflon tape on them to close any leaks. I put my RS on a vacuum pump and it leaked out fairly quickly and would not hold any pressure. Secondly, to adjust it, you have to put it on the vacuum pump and if you are running it open you have to adjust it so that when vacuum is applies, the plunger STARTS to lift at about 15psi, or 1 bar. Recirculated you can set it lower than 1 bar so about 12 psi is a good start. Obviously you have to play with it a little but its a good idea about where you can start at.
