FB is where it's at!

My friend has one and makes 230 WHP on a Street Port 13B N/A and weighs like ~2400lbs. with full interior. Probably would take down my car on 7 PSI. Which is roughly the same WHP and weight. That would make my car a 3L in theory and his a 2.6L in the racing world. Pretty cool IMO.

RX-7s are fun cars but FCs only look good when super clean.

liability covers damage you do to other people's cars and bodies when you are at fault. the coverage extends up to whatever max dollar amount you set it for. you will be personally liable for anything over your max liability pay out.

OK then lets set it straight for everyone.

The best NA FC out of all is the GTUs. Its an S5.

The next best NA FC is the S4 GTU, like you said.

Personally i would rather a turbo swapped base model. They are lighter and cheaper than all the other models.

To the OP. If you dont have much mechanical knowledge or money, then an RX7 probably isnt for you. They arent nearly as cheap as an S13.

either way, NA fc still isnt too fun.. your gonna wanna turbo it anyways.

See if you can source the interior back... gutted NA s4 fcs really feel shitty.. my buddy had a base 4lug fc that he had gutted the interior, it was a POS, loud and smelled like gas.. if it was a fast turbo, that would be acceptable lol. RX7club can also be boring sometimes.. alot of guys on there are really close minded when it comes to coilovers, aero etc.

People saying the fc aint worth it, well your s13 doesnt look anything special, just the typical zilvia beginner ride on old coilovers

all the fc bashing makes me chuckle. the fc is a more pure sports car compared to the s13. definitely a better choice then an s13.

I would recommend shaping the port entering into the rotor housing to give better "intake timing" and not big port size as this will be detrimental to your low end flow.

Also, don't make the runners too short.

Just some friendly advice.

I have an FC, and I believe the chassis is miles ahead of the S13 chassis.
The control arms are aluminum stock and weigh nothing, the brake calipers are four piston and alum. Its an excellent platform, and well maintained perfectly reliable.
I do agree that RX7 club is a little dull. Their offtopic ( if that even exists) is not nearly as entertaining as ours, but there is a lot of great information in that forum.

blasphemer... i <3 rx7club lounge

in all seriousness, the only thing i dislike about the FC is that it's more of a pain to work on than a 240sx. for instance, the slave cylinder is for some ungodly reason located on top of the transmission, sandwiched against the firewall/tranny tunnel. and the flywheel is bolted onto the engine by one massive nut torqued to like 320 ft/lbs. alot of little things like that make easy jobs on a 240sx a bit of a headache on a FC.

lol the rx7club is where its at. mazda def did some odd things. my friend just had to special order a socket big enough for the flywheel and what the fuck is up with the sub zero start assist? hahaha. all in all i feel it is a much better looking and performing car when compared to an s13 (stock to stock of course)
